Heather Koury, Hon. AIA is Director of Strategic Alignment and a LEED Green Associate with archimania, leading initial phase project strategies to elevate design services and enhance community impact and connectivity. Her contributions to the Memphis community span over 30 years as a champion for arts access, equity in architecture, and environmental stewardship. Her deeply held belief that collaboration is critical to moving our communities forward towards a more resilient future has informed her professional path and service in the community.

Heather was a member of the national AIA Board of Directors and has been recognized by the American Institute of Architects as a Richard Upjohn Fellow and Louise Blanchard Bethune Fellow. She was honored with the AIA Council of Architectural Component Executives national Leadership Award and is an Honorary Member of the AIA. She has also been recognized with the AIA Tennessee Distinguished Service Award, the Tau Sigma Delta Silver Medal for outstanding service to the field of architectural education, and the Francis Gassner Award–the highest honor bestowed by AIA Memphis for outstanding contributions to the advancement of the profession of architecture.

Heather currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Dixon Gallery & Gardens and as Vice-President on the Board of Directors for the West Tennessee Urban Forestry Council. In addition, she is an active member of the Hein Park Historic Neighborhood Garden Club.
