Paradox at PeCo is a former office reimagined into an eclectic family-owned gift shop. The space has a warm and whimsical feel with the exterior painted a dark black with gold signage and the interior detailed with rich warm gold and crimson tones. The interior experience intends to reflect the client’s specific vision to create a unique shop with a magical feel and opportunity to display various artistry. The ample storage opportunities, versatile merchandise displays and adjustable lighting lend to a moody atmosphere. Transforming the exterior façade with two creative points of entry and two colorful window displays helps it smoothly fit into the PeCo neighborhood and neighboring historic Cooper-Young district. The rear porch entrance has a recessed museum display showing special collector items, that opens up to a lounge and check-out area surrounded by curated retail in every corner.

The renovation of a mid-century neighborhood shopping center into an eclectic family-owned gift shop introduces a new, whimsical destination to the Peco and Cooper Young district.
